Providing IT assurance services to a diverse and growing client base, Robert has over 24 years of Information Technology audit experience.  As graduate of City University of New York Queens College, he serves in the capacity of IT Audit Principal with Simpson & Simpson, CPAs, where he audits different controls that ensure the security, integrity, and availability of information systems.

Robert's experience and practical knowledge, complemented by his professional accreditations, has equipped him to manage Information Technology audits for the firm's key clients' financial statements.  He, also, provides extensive IT assurance services including but not limited to the following:

​

• Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD),

• City of Los Angeles,

• Sempra Energy, and

• Southern California Edison.

Prior to joining Simpson & Simpson, Robert served as a Senior Manager with Deloitte & Touche's Enterprise Risk Services group.  During his tenure with Deloitte & Touche, Robert established himself as an effective practice leader, successfully managing IT audits for the firm's Pacific Southwest healthcare audit practice. Among his clientele were Health Net, Good Samaritan Hospital, and Sierra Health Services of Nevada.

In addition, Robert has also managed the Information Technology audit functions for several Fortune 500 organizations to include Experian North American and PacifiCare (United Health).  Robert has also supervied several IT audit engagements for major federal government agencies, among which are the FDIC (RTC) and Department of Agriculture.  He gained further critical experience while working with First Interstate Bank of California (Senior IT Auditor) and Manufacturers Hanover Bank of New York where he upheld the position of Financial/Operation Auditor.

Robert is an active member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). He has also instructed IT Audit courses for UCLA's Extension Program.
